What State Allows You To Build A Home Yourself Without Contractor?

Dear David,
What state allows me to build a home myself without contractor?

Regards,
Artiom

Artiom,

To the best of my knowledge, you can build a home for yourself in almost any state without being a licensed contractor. Licensing is only required if you are building a home for someone else, or if you intend to sell the home you are building.

Good luck with your project,
David Moore, AIA
